Deepen the Learning with CER Practice
Take your students beyond the basics by extending the lesson into a focused exploration of Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning (CER). This extension builds on the Drought Lesson Notebook and the whole-class data table, offering opportunities to calculate averages and modes, spark group discussions, and reflect on the significance of their findings. Linked videos provide additional practice in CER, helping students sharpen their ability to organize ideas, think critically, and draw well-supported conclusions.
