Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival returns March 7 at Warm Springs Dam
Feb. 20, 2026 - (Español abajo) - Geyserville, CA — The Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival returns Saturday, March 7 at Warm Springs Dam, welcoming the public to a free, family-friendly celebration at the Milt Brandt Visitor Center and Congressman Don Clausen Fish Hatchery. The annual event draws thousands of visitors from Sonoma County and beyond to celebrate the seasonal return of steelhead trout and learn about local watersheds and habitat.
The festival will feature hands-on learning opportunities for adults and children, with interactive exhibits and demonstrations focused on environmental stewardship, natural resource protection and the conservation of threatened and endangered species. Fish spawning demonstrations will be held at the hatchery, and guided tours will be offered periodically throughout the day.
Family activities will include arts and crafts projects, archery and a large-scale bubble show. Community organizations, local businesses and public agencies will host exhibits highlighting outdoor recreation, watershed education and public safety.
Live music will be featured throughout the day with performances by Krome Addikt, Play Marimba! and School of Rock Santa Rosa.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including draft beer from Bear Republic Brewing Co. and wines from Quivira Vineyards, along with coffee, tea, smoothies and fresh juices. Food vendors will offer a variety of options ranging from barbecue, tacos and Greek pita wraps to hot dogs, brats, funnel cakes, kettle corn and snow cones.

The Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival is hosted by Sonoma Water, Friends of Lake Sonoma, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
