  • We are currently looking for a Water and Energy Education Intern!

    As a Water and Energy Education Intern, you will be trained in teaching K-12 classroom lessons and leading field trips on environmental topics, including:

    • Our local water and energy systems
    • Climate change
    • Water and energy conservation
    • Storm drain pollution
    • Water quality for endangered salmon
    • Assist with administrative tasks to support education programs 

    Ideal candidate has a strong interest in working with diverse youth populations and in environmental education.

    Bilingual Spanish skills and cross-cultural competence are desirable.

    Salary $23.30- $25.30 depending on experience. Approximately 20 - 30 hrs per week. CA driver license preferred.

    We are currently looking for a Water-Use Efficiency Intern!

    The Water-Use Efficiency Intern supports our Water Smart Home Program and will be performing indoor and outdoor water use surveys for retail water customers.

    The Water Use-Efficiency Intern will learn to identify water conserving fixtures, determine if a customer has a leak, learn how to complete a landscape audit, and make recommendations for improving water use efficiency. Incumbents will have a training period and will then be responsible for scheduling their own appointments, performing audits and completing computer data entry of the findings. Additional work may be assigned, including production assistance for the E-newsletter of the Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership, or other tasks in support of the Partnership's regional programs.

    Qualifications:


    • Must currently be enrolled in a full time or part time academic or vocational curriculum at an accredited college or university.
    • Must be in possession of a valid driver's license.
    • Salary $23.30- $25.30 depending on experience.
