Available to schools located in:
 Cloverdale, Cotati, Forestville, Geyserville, Glen Ellen, Healdsburg (does not include West Side Elementary or Alexander Valley - these are considered unincorporated Sonoma County), Kenwood, Larkfield-Wikiup, Novato, Penngrove, Petaluma (does not include Two Rock), Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, and Windsor

Additional eligibility: 
Some programs may be available to additional schools through grant funding and partnerships. This may include Pathways schools, schools in Ukiah, or schools in unincorporated areas of Sonoma County. If your school is located outside the listed service area, please register or contact us to confirm eligibility.

This FREE program includes one 30-minute lesson conducted by a Sonoma Water educator. 


Lesson Summary 


This interactive 30‑minute lesson uses visuals, games, song, and movement to teach young students why water is important, how it reaches their homes and schools, and simple ways they can use less of it. 

 

Essential Question: 

  • When you turn on your faucet, where does that water come from?  

Learning Objectives: 

  • Students will understand the importance of water. 
  • Students will identify how water gets to their homes and schools. 
  • Students will recognize simple ways to use less water.
