Sonoma Water has a recycled water trucking program (Trucking Program), where tertiary-treated recycled water can be picked up by trucks authorized by Sonoma Water from the Sonoma Valley Treatment Plant.
The goal of the Trucking Program is to reduce use of potable water for irrigation and dust control. The Trucking Program allows potential recycled water users (User) to truck and use recycled water for agricultural irrigation and dust control at construction sites. Users wanting water for irrigation are required to sign Sonoma Water's standard recycled water agreement in addition to the Trucking Program’s permit application.
