Sanitary Sewer Capacity Evaluation

Sonoma Water completed a hydraulic capacity evaluation of the Penngrove Sanitation Zone (PSZ) sewer collection system to assess the system’s ability to convey peak wet weather flows and comply with the State Water Resources Control Board’s 2022 Waste Discharge Requirements for sanitary sewer systems. The study assessed both existing conditions and projected future development conditions within the Penngrove service area. The Sanitary Sewer Capacity Evaluation study can be found here.

Sewer System Management Plan

The goal of the Penngrove Sanitation Zone Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) is to provide a plan and schedule to properly manage, operate, and maintain all parts of the sanitary sewer system to prevent SSOs (Sanitary Sewer Overflow) and mitigate any SSOs that do occur. This will help reduce and prevent SSOs, as well as mitigate any SSOs that do occur.
